Publishing Policies & Ethics
ABSU Journals is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and excellence in academic publishing. Our policies ensure that all research published under our imprint meets global ethical benchmarks.
ABSU Journals are committed to the highest standards of publication ethics. ABSU Journals endorses the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) Policy Statement on Geopolitical Intrusion on Editorial Decisions and the ICMJE recommendations for scholarly work.
- Peer Review: We employ a double-blind peer-review process to ensure objective evaluation.
- Editorial Independence: Decisions are based solely on the merits of the research and its contribution to the field, independent of commercial or political influence.
- Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research and agree to the final version of the manuscript.
ABSU Journals adopt a Gold Open Access model, ensuring that published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide, with a strong commitment to removing barriers to knowledge dissemination.
- Accessibility: All published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication without subscription fees.
- Licensing: Works are published under Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing for maximum dissemination while ensuring authors receive proper credit.
ABSU Journals are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics.
- Screening: All submitted manuscripts are screened using industry-standard software (e.g., Turnitin/Crossref) prior to review.
- Definition: Plagiarism includes self-plagiarism (text recycling), uncredited paraphrasing, and the use of data or ideas without proper attribution.
- Sanctions: Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism will be summarily rejected, and authors may be barred from future submissions.
To support reproducibility and transparency, we encourage open data practices. Submission of a manuscript to an ABSU journal implies that all materials described, including relevant raw data, will be made available to researchers for non-commercial use, provided participant confidentiality is maintained.
- Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement and, where possible, deposit their datasets in recognized repositories.
- Confidentiality: Human subject data must be de-identified and handled in accordance with ethical guidelines and privacy laws.
ABSU Journals recognizes its responsibility to maintain the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record. This policy outlines the procedures for correcting the literature when significant issues are identified in published articles.
- Corrections: Minor errors that do not invalidate the results will be addressed via a formal Corrigendum or Erratum.
- Retractions: If a paper is found to have fundamental errors, unethical research practices, or fabricated data, it will be retracted following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
Ethical Oversight
All research involving human or animal subjects must include evidence of institutional ethical approval. We adhere to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki and other relevant international standards.
